Core Program 4 - Gymnastics Level 2

Gymnastics for Year 3 to Year 6 students

Proactivity’s Gymnastics  Level 2 program delivers safe and fun lessons that focus on fundamental movement patterns associated with the dominant movement patterns of gymnastics. Games and activities provide students with opportunities to practise, develop control and learn through movement.

The sequential program is designed to encourage students to demonstrate a variety of basic through to complex movement sequences, with additional opportunities for independent and collaborative learning to design and create gymnastics routines.

Proactivity Gymnastics Programs align with the Victorian Curriculum.

Gymnastics Program Overview

Gymnastics Level 2 ensures students engage in a variety of challenge and adventure activities in a safe and inclusive way.

Games and activities provide students with opportunities to practise, develop control and learn through movement. It supports them in broadening the range and complexity of fundamental skills they are able to perform.

  • Perform movement sequences which link fundamental movement skills (VCHPEM098)

  • Apply innovative and creative thinking in solving movement challenges (VCHPEM103)

Program Inclusions

Our certified gymnastics instructors lead each session with a range of activities designed to help students develop their gymnastics skills, including tumbling, balance beam, vault, and parallel bars.

The Gymnastics Level 2 program allows students to challenge their balance, rotation and flexibility skills.
